An inconvenient ride tour

STOPS IN CAPITAN

An Inconvenient Ride
involves 6-8 Seattle students ranging in age from 10-18 who received a ceremonial tree in Washington, D.C. and began a 5,400 mile bicycle ride across country. The students will arrive back in Seattle on April 22 (Earthday) to commemorate green activities in their home city.

They were greeted in Capitan Thursday, April 10, by the Capitan Chamber of Commerce and Capitan Mayor Sam Hammons. They were fed lunch, hugged Smokey Bear and then made a quick side trip to Lincoln before going through Ruidoso and on to Alamogordo.
