The calender is full and the events are clicking off like the minutes on the clock. Just since last week, I've attended Carrizozo Ag Day, Smokey Bear Days, the District Track Meet --and I've received photos from Music in the Parks and a school play by the 3-4 graders in Carrizozo ....
Click on the photo for a larger image...at right is Taylor Huey, Corona. The eight grader qualified for state in 5 events and is seen here winning the 440. Above, right to left is Stephanie Gomez, 9th grade, and Esther Gonzales, 10th grade, in first and third place of the 800 meter run and Cody Ventura, who ended up 2nd in the pole vault at 10 feet. He qualified for state with an 11 foot vault the weekend before.
