Welcome to the Lincoln County "in the know" spot

Dear Ruidoso News readers and beyond,

The Ruidoso News is moving forward in technology by adding to our capability to post stories, photos and breaking news online throughout the week, taking away the time factor of having to wait for the print addition to hit the stands Wednesdays and Fridays. Look to the RN online not just on publication days but throughout the week.

And for those of you in the outback of the county who don't get your paper by mail until the following week, it's an opportunity to be in on news before it's old news.

In addition to the breaking news in the online edition, we are now "blogging." Less formal, more editorial and a place to talk about things that matter to us, matter to you and share things that don't necessarily make the newspaper as an article.

I would like for this blog not to just be a place for me to post tidbits of ideas, thoughts and editorial comment, but a place for you to look to see if anything new has come up you might need to know about BEFORE it hits the COUNTY BRIEF section of the paper. So when there is a meeting, a sale, an awards ceremony or something going at the school --tell me about it via email and I'll post it here. You also have the option of posting it a comment to my blog post.

Bottom line, lets make this Blog the central information center for all the square miles of Lincoln County beyond the pavement!
